Terroir:

Climat/Lieu-dit : It is the result of an assembly of 6 climates : Les Plateaux, Les Belles Croix, Les Fleurières, Les Brûlées, Les Chaliots et Les Crôts. All these plots are located south of Nuits-Saint-Georges, most of them are at the bottom of the hill. Some years, the Climat Les Crôts is vinified separately and gives the cuvée Clos Fontaine Jacquinot. 

The Vine:

• Soil type : deep soils, a mixture of clay, alluvium and limestone 

• Area : 2,64 ha 

• Average age of vines : 60 years 

• Harvest : 100 % manual harvest

We are working according to the precepts of organic farming since 2007 and are in the process of certification. 

Vinification & Ageing :

Ageing : 12 months in French oak barrel 

Type of winemaking : 100 % destemmed, vinified in concrete vat tank for two weeks 

Wine tips :

Serving temperature : 16° to 18°C (61° to 64°F) 

Drinking windows : 3 years  10 years and more 

Allergens : contains sulfites
