Climat/Lieu-dit : Halfway between Premeaux and Nuits-Saint-Georges, the Premier Cru Les Saint Georges is without a doubt THE most renowned cru in the town. Ideally positioned on the edge of the hill, with eastern exposure, the vineasserts itself on a wide diversity of soils. A file is in progress to request his reclassification in Grand Cru

• Soil type : located in the mid of the hill, complex soils composed of limestone screes from the top of the hill 

• Altitude : 245/260 m 

• Slope : 7 to 8 % 

• Area : 0,86 ha 

• Average age of vines : 70 years 

• Harvest : 100 % manual harvest 

Vinification & Ageing :

Ageing : 18 months in French oak barrel with about 30 % new oak barrels 

Type of winemaking : 100 % destemmed, vinified in concrete vat tank for two weeks 

Wine tips :

Serving temperature : 16° to 18°C (61° to 64°F) 

Drinking windows : 5 years > 20 years and more 

Allergens : contains sulfites
